Game Time for Science: Join the Stall Catchers Challenge
Join a hands-on Stall Catchers game to support Alzheimer’s research. Meet the project scientist, learn how to play, and team up with participants nationwide to help scientists analyze data faster. All ages are welcome to join a live Zoom session with the research team, then play the game together, classifying vessel flow (flowing vs. stalled) on computers or smartphones. You are welcome to join the event at any time between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to play the game, while helping researchers to speed up research to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Stall Catchers is an online game that anyone can play; no experience necessary. In the game, you look at movies from the brains of mice and try to identify vessels as flowing or stalled. This helps to speed up Alzheimer's disease research at Cornell University. Optional Preparation: A free SciStarter.org account can help you track participation in Stall Catchers and other Neighborhood Science projects.
