Fred Elser First Sunday Science: Know Your Wild Neighbors

Fred Elser First Sunday Science: Know Your Wild Neighbors

Although we talk about the habitats of other animals; few of us contemplate our own. We are a part of a diverse community of plants and animals particular to where we live. Each creature and plant help to complete their community by fulfilling the vital role they are born to do. Attendees will explore the diversity of local wildlife we might find right in our own backyard! We’ll discuss the difference between a pet and an animal that lives in the wild. We’ll meet animal ambassadors indigenous to North America and explore their differing habitats as well as learn how animals from other parts of the world have come to call the United States home. This program is free of charge. No beach pass is required if you are attending the Fred Elser First Sunday Science. Attendance is limited to 50 participants, admission available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please let them know at the gate you are attending the Bruce Museum Seaside Center lecture. First Sunday Science programs take place at the Floren Family Environmental Center at Innis Arden Cottage, Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich, CT.
