We tap into the natural instincts of kids to be empathic and philanthropic and concern that "life isn't fair?!". We offer experiential learning programs, a kid-hosted podcast (Kids are Philanthropists, Too!), and a national book award (TGS Selects). At NBM, we are showcasing our kid-reviewed national book award and inviting kids to join 1,000 kids across the US to review nominations for the TGS Selects Book Award. You can find more info at our website or reach us at info@thegivingsquare.org . Shout Mouse Press ( shoutmousepress.org ) is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization that supports the creation and publication of diverse books by young people for young people. Through writing workshops, book publication, and public speaking opportunities, we invite marginalized youth (ages 12+) to tell their own stories and, as published authors, to act as leaders and agents of change. About Building Readers Club The Building Readers Club is your guide to explore the world of architecture, engineering, construction, and design found in the pages of children’s books. The primary educational program of the National Building Museum’s exhibition Building Stories, the Club provides suggested books to read and monthly activities to inspire children to find their place within the world and become active participants in their own neighborhoods and built communities.
