Make Your Mark: Nature and Watercolor Painting

Create art, try a craft and express yourself during this artistic program. Today's art project is inspired by Indigenous children's author and illustrator Michaela Goade . Participants will choose a nature-themed journaling prompt from a bowl to help inspire a watercolor painting. Goade's stories are influenced by the gifts that the natural world brings us every single day. She uses watercolors to illustrate lush landscapes based on the area of Southeast Alaska where she grew up. Goade is a member of the Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes. Explore her books here ! For ages 6 and up. Accessibility Need sign language interpretation or other accessibility assistance for this event?
