Nature Journaling: Nature After Dark
Do you feel like you need a moment of pause and a deeper connection with nature? Join us on the first Saturday of each month for a free nature journaling workshop. The 90-minute workshop helps you start or expand your nature journaling practice, providing you with ecological context, thematic prompts and time to journal. This month’s theme, “Nature After Dark”, invites you to notice what happens in nature once the sun sets. Learn about nocturnal insects and mammals, while you use your senses to observe what happens around us in the dark. Register Now! Taking place on Pier 3, educators will be waiting by the northern pier entrance, facing the marina, until 5:35 PM before moving to the site of the workshop within the Pier. Accessibility Note: Please reach out to education@bbp.nyc for any accessibility needs or questions. The paths of the pier are paved, and the workshop will take place around 350ft from the meeting location. The workshop will be held on the grass lawn which has minor inclines. Available seating options on the lawn include cushions, stepstools and sitting logs. The closest bathrooms are at Pier 2 (1,000ft) or at the Boathouse near Pier 4 beach (1,200ft).
