Dancing the Revolution: a Dance Workshop with the New York Baroque Dance Company
Join The New York Baroque Dance Company for a lively dance workshop! Participants will learn social dances from George Washington’s time in the early days of the American nation, including some by Francis Johnson, the American composer who brought the whole nation to the dance floor. In true 18th-century style, participants will practice elegant figures and spirited steps that will bring the world of the ball to life. Whether you’re new to historical dance or a seasoned reveler, this workshop will give you the confidence to shine on the dance floor and earn you free admission to NYBDC’s Ball on June 28. Costumes admired but not required! Space is limited, participants must register in advance.
