Little New-Yorkers: Mario and the Hole in the Sky: How a Chemist Saved Our Planet
Join us in celebrating Latinx Heritage Month! Ever since he was a young boy, Mario Molina loved to make discoveries by studying the world through his microscope. When he grew up, he discovered that humans were hurting the Earth’s ozone layer! In Mario and the Hole in the Sky, written by Elizabeth Rusch and illustrated by Teresa Martinez, we’ll learn how Mario spoke up to fight against global warming! After the story, make your own DIY microscope from recycled materials. Join us every Tuesday and Friday at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
