Little New-Yorkers: Strega Nona

What were kids reading fifty years ago? The museum is celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday with a new exhibit - You Should Be Dancing: New York, 1976 and Beyond - and we’re diving into picture books from the 1970s! Beloved author and illustrator Tomie dePaola’s Strega Nona tells the story of the village wisewoman, Big Anthony, who didn’t pay attention, and a magical pasta pot! When Big Anthony tries one of Strega Nona’s spells for himself, he soon finds himself in big trouble! Come find out what happens next and after the read-aloud, make your own magical pasta craft project!  Join us every Tuesday and Friday at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
