Monoprinting

Join us at the Art Cart for free workshops all summer long! Monoprinting is a type of printmaking where each print is unique. Apply ink/paint onto plexiglass with brushes/brayer, then remove parts of ink/paint with brushes/fingers if wanted. Flip your plexiglass on top of the paper, press and remove. Optionally, add colored pencil or pastels on top of your print. What The Art Cart offers free classes in a wide range of artistic techniques and topics, for a range of ages and interest groups. Visit us on the Upper Terrace, behind the New York Public Library. Registration typically opens one-two weeks in advance. When + where The Art Cart is open daily 11am-7pm. Find it on the 42nd Street side of the park on the Fountain Terrace behind the New York Public Library. Registration We recommend registering in advance but walk-up participants will be accepted as long as there are materials avaliable. Please note that if you arrive more than 30 minutes late, we cannot guarantee a spot for you in the workshop regardless of your registration status. Registration typically opens 1-2 weeks in advance.
