New Owner

About the Show Knowing that puppies are the best medicine, Mabel adopts Bart from the animal shelter to help heal her widowed heart. But Mabel is old, and Bart is young, and not all love can last forever. Suddenly alone, Bart embarks on an urban odyssey of towering hot dog carts, menacing dog-nappers and junkyard camaraderie. A wistful, wordless journey from a dog’s point of view, New Owner melds tender puppetry with spellbinding animation to paint a poignant portrait of friendship, loss and new beginnings. Get a closer look at the puppets! 🐶📸 After every show, stick around for a puppetry demonstration by show co-creator and puppeteer Tim Watts. Then, head to the lower lobby for a photo op with the puppets and cast! Things to Know New Owner ‘s whimsical puppetry is balanced with some sad and heavy moments that might be challenging for younger kids. Think E.T. or the opening of Up ! The puppetry in New Owner is confined to a rectangular window on stage, surrounded by cinematic projections. To ensure that everyone has a great view, there will be no Balcony seating. Did you know that Perth, Australia, is the farthest metropolis from New York City? The New Owner team is making a grand journey, just like Bart the dog, to perform at the New Victory! The show on stage is just one act of your experience! Come early or stay late for free lobby activities on the day of the show.
