Puppet Show: The Journey of Pura Belpré’s Tales / El Viaje de Los Cuentos de Pura Belpré

Le Carrousel Extravaganza hosts different themed shows for kids on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday throughout the summer. One day the kids will be wowed by scientific marvels, the next it's music and dancing or a magic show! All kids are welcome to enjoy our extravaganza (and be sure to check out the Kids Creative Corner after the show for some craft making fun)! The Journey of Pura Belpré’s Tales is an interactive puppet show with Teatro SEA, featuring timeless characters such as Pérez & Martina, Juan Bobo, and The Three Magi. As Pura Belpré herself did in her time, these characters are brought to life through a powerful blend of puppetry and storytelling, as they embark on a magical journey through the rich traditions of Puerto Rican and Latin American folklore.
