Sound of Color

Thursdays, April 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, June 4 3:30 – 4:30 pm Ages 3 to 7 This six-week program for preschoolers and their families explores how music and art playfully intertwine.  Each class will embark on a thematic musical tour of the Jewish Museum’s newly re-envisioned galleries in partnership with The Diller-Quaile School of Music followed by an art-making experience in the studio. Experiment with how music and art connect through line, color, form and texture! Each class is led by both a museum and a music educator incorporating song, movement, and hands-on activities. Starting at 3 pm, Salon on the 4th floor will be available for having a small snack, reading books, and felt activities. The Museum Educator and Music Educator will pick up the families on the 4th floor Salon space for the program at 3:30 pm. Stroller parking is available on the 4th floor by the restrooms. Program Fee: $195 General; $165 Jewish Museum Family Members Program fee includes all sessions starting April 23. Individual Session: $35 General; $30 Jewish Museum Family Members Session dates: Thursdays, April 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, June 4 Price per child includes 1-2 accompanying adults.
