Summer at the Library: Monster-Building Creative Writing Workshop

Presented by Cosmic Writers. Join us for a 60-minute creative writing workshop that centers around “The Monster-Building Handbook”, our newly-released creative writing activity book. Each participant will receive a copy of the Handbook, which combines narrative and writing prompts to invite young readers/writers to develop an original monster character that can defeat fearsome monster-hunter Mortimer Fearborne. The workshop will kick off the process of completing the Handbook, and each participant will be able to take home and finish their copy of the book. For children ages 8-12 years. Registration is required and starts on Wednesday, July 29. Please arrive on time. The doors will close once the program begins. This program is made possible by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). Audience: Children, School Age (6-12 years) Assistive Listening and ASL ASL interpretation and real-time captioning (CART) are available upon request.
