Sunday Story Time: a Girl Named Rosita: the Story of Rita Moreno: Actor, Singer, Dancer, Trailblazer!

Join us in celebrating Latinx Heritage Month! When Rosita was five years old, she moved with her Mami from Puerto Rico to New York City. In this new place, she was bullied for her accent and skin color, but there was one thing that kept Rosita strong: dancing! Come hear Rosita’s story in A Girl Named Rosita, written by Anika Aldamuy Denise and illustrated by Leo Espinosa, to find out where her dancing and determination will take her! After the story, make your own dancer craft inspired by Rosita!  Join us every Sunday in person at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
