Sunday Story Time: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

What were kids reading fifty years ago? The museum is celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday with a new exhibit - You Should Be Dancing: New York, 1976 and Beyond - and we’re diving into picture books from the 1970s! Today we’ll read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, written by Judith Viorst and illustrated by Ray Cruz. In this classic tale of a day gone wrong, Alexander faces trouble at home, at school, and even at the dentist! Could moving to Australia solve his problems? After the story, make a craft that turns a bad day to a good day!  Join us every Sunday in person at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
