Sunday Story Time: Maribel’S Year
It’s Asian American Pacific Ilsander Heritage Month, and we’ll be celebrating all month long by reading about AAPI people and traditions, and by reading stories written by AAPI authors today! In Maribel’s Year, written by Michelle Sterling and illustrated by Sarah Gonzales, Maribel and her mother spend a year in America while waiting for Maribel’s father to join them from the Philippines. Maribel and Papa send letters and packages back and forth as Maribel learns about her new home, and cherishes her old home. After the story, create a letter craft to send a note to someone you love! Join us every Sunday in person at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
