Sunday Story Time: Two New Years

Shanah Tovah! This evening marks the end of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Today we are reading Two New Years, written by Richard Ho and illustrated by Lynn Scurfield. In this book we’ll meet a family who celebrates the Lunar New Year in the spring, and Rosh Hashanah in the fall. The family finds similarities and differences in the two holidays as they sing, pray, eat, and gather with one another. After the story, we’ll use clay to make our own New Year’s feast inspired by the foods in the book and our own family traditions.  Join us every Sunday in person at the Museum for story time and crafts! Each class includes a special hello song, silly dances and games, a story book reading, and a craft to do after the story.
