US 250: Trailblazers: Zine Making & Alice Austen
Explore the legacy of Alice Austen, an American trailblazer who broke barriers as one of the nation’s earliest documentary photographers. Participants will discover how images communicate meaning and identity, then create their own one-page mini zine using drawing and collage. Through visual storytelling, young artists will document who they are, where they come from, and where they’re going. This activity design is made possible through a collaboration with The Alice Austen House .
