At Mercy University School of Nursing's Health Equity Influencer Program in the Community (HEIP-C), we believe that health equity starts where people live, work, learn, and gather. That’s why we bring nursing students and faculty into libraries, malls, supermarkets, and other community hubs to listen to, learn from, and understand the healthcare needs of the community we serve. Our mission is simple, to advance health equity and improve health outcomes through authentic conversations about the health issues that matter most. By grounding nursing practice in the realities of our communities, we are not only preparing students to be exceptional nurses, we are shaping the future of equitable healthcare.
