Workshop Series: Seeding Joy

Museum of Black Joy , in collaboration with Drexel Writers Room and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, presents a series of interactive workshops for all ages. Workshops will reflect a multimedia approach to engage with the permanent collection. Using collage, genre-expansive writing, visual poetry, creative journaling, and zine-making, participants will respond to prompts and activities that consider culturally specific themes of beauty, representation, self-expression, and mindfulness. Seeding Joy is made possible and free to the public by the William Penn Foundation’s support to Writers Room.
