🕯️🌍 Celebrating Kwanzaa: Culture, Community & Unity

Join us at Newfield Branch Library for a special celebration of Kwanzaa! Come explore the rich traditions, history, and cultural significance of this African American holiday centered on family, community, and heritage. Discover the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa (Nguzo Saba) and how they encourage unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, and purpose. Through an engaging presentation and cultural celebration, we'll reflect on the values that bring communities together and honor the spirit of Kwanzaa. ✨ All are welcome to learn, celebrate, and share in this meaningful cultural experience! This event is a part of the Bridgeport Public Library’s 2026 Holiday Season series of programs. Parents/caregivers must remain with their children for the duration of the program. All of our programs are photographed/recorded for social media purposes. Please notify the staff if you don’t want to be included
